I took this photo a few weeks ago at Dog Beach on Davis Island (Tampa, Florida). It's my Great Dane, "Indi" and another random dog.

This is a place where dogs can run and play and swim, etc. It's all fenced in so they can be leash-less.

I used a Diana F camera (plastic toy camera) with an orange filter (and tmax 400 film), got it developed and a contact sheet made (this photo is a scan from the contact sheet). Dianas and other cameras like it (Holga) are known for the interesting vignetting and light leeks, as well as blurring.

I'm in love...more to come....

Hmmm, so the doggies get a fantastic view of the loading dock or whatever that is across the way. "D" for Diana, "D" for Dandy shot. Sort of has a conflicting air about it with the industrialization in the background and the nature like beach and dogs in the foreground. Seems to say Corporate America is consuming all, and all you have is the pitful fenced in beach to run and play. Harkens back to the images from the industrial revolution by using the Diana to get that old glass plate image look. Perhaps make that "D" for depressing. I like it!
The industrialization is Tampa Shipyard, I believe.
Very interesting interpretation of the shot. It's weird that we would see it that way, but the dogs are happy as clams when they are there.

Thanks for the critique Sam!!!

I love the look of toy cameras! I am going to experiment with them in the near future. This is very nicely done.

You know what? I'm in love with this shot ! I adore the atmosphere from it, the way the dog are really sharp when the side of the shot are very blurry, the tones, the light.... I dunno, I love it...
great composition, and one has to appreciate the unique-ness of the setting. Congratulations on a photo well spotted.
